About

Greta Kurt

The best moments can’t be directed — so I don’t force them.

I guide gently when it helps you feel at ease, and step back the moment real life takes over. Guided when it helps, discreet when it matters.

“Greta made us feel completely at ease — nothing felt forced, yet every image felt intentional.”

My way of seeing

A documentary heart with an editorial eye

You are not planning a wedding just to follow tradition. You are creating an experience — shaped by the place, the people, the atmosphere and the feeling you want to remember for the rest of your life.

You care about beauty, yes. But not the kind that feels empty. You care about meaning, presence, the in-between moments — photographs that feel elegant, emotional and alive. The kind that do not expire with a trend.

That is what I am searching for when I photograph a wedding. I am not only looking for what is beautiful — I am looking for what is true.

A glance across the table.

A hand reaching for yours.

Laughter during dinner.

Quiet embraces with your people.

That is where I love to be.

Behind the way I see

I have always been moved by the moments most people pass by

The way light changes a room. The stillness of nature. The emotional intelligence of horses. The softness and chaos of motherhood. The way life can feel painfully beautiful for just a second before it moves on.

As a mother of two, an equestrian and someone deeply connected to nature, I have learned to notice what is unspoken: the small gestures, the nervous energy, the tenderness between people. The moments that cannot be repeated.

This is also how I photograph weddings — and why, before your day, I want to understand more than your timeline. I want to know who you are together, and what you want to remember years from now.

Guided when it helps. Discreet when it matters.

Three things you can hold me to

01

Gentle guidance — no stiff posing

You don’t need to know how to stand or what to do. I’ll give you simple, natural direction so everything feels effortless and you can stay fully at ease.

02

Real moments — not just highlights

The most meaningful moments often happen in between: a glance, a breath, laughter at the table, quiet embraces with your people. That’s where I love to be.

03

Timing & flow — your day stays light

I keep an eye on the timing so nothing feels rushed or overwhelming. You’ll have images that look beautiful — and a day that feels just as good.

Working together

What it looks like, start to finish

  1. Bridal party getting ready beneath a Renaissance fresco in a Tuscan villa
    01

    We talk

A relaxed call, months before the day. You tell me how you want to celebrate — I tell you honestly whether I’m the right fit for it.

  2. Two guests in tuxedos sharing cigars in a castle courtyard, photographed unnoticed
    02

    I blend in

On the day I’m a guest with a camera, not a director with a checklist. Gentle direction when it helps you — and none when real life is happening.

  3. A guest with a tambourine and the band in full swing at a Tuscan wedding party
    03

    You celebrate

While you’re in the middle of it, I’m at the edges: the grandmother laughing, your friends crying, the kids under the table.

  4. Nadine and Nick a breath away from a kiss, black and white close-up
    04

    You remember

Elevated in look. Honest in feeling.

Good to know

Questions couples ask

We feel unsure in front of the camera — is that a problem?

Not at all. Most couples feel that way. I’ll guide you in a calm, simple way so everything feels natural and easy. You don’t need to “know” how to do anything.

Do we have to pose a lot?

No. There are short portrait moments with gentle guidance — the rest is documentary. Rather than one long shoot, I prefer several short sessions of 10–15 minutes throughout the day. It keeps the energy high, doesn’t pull you away from your guests, and simply looks best in the photos. You’re there to celebrate, not to perform.

What does coverage usually cost?

For destination weddings in Europe, most couples invest between €4,000 and €8,000, depending on the coverage, location and overall plans. I always create a custom offer based on your wedding — reach out and tell me what you’re planning.

When will we receive the photos — and how many?

You’ll receive a small preview the next day with the first highlights. The full gallery is delivered within 4–6 weeks — for an 8-hour wedding, at least 500 carefully curated images: portraits, real moments, details and the celebration, in a curated online gallery you can download and share with your guests.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes — I photograph weddings across Europe, with a focus on destination weddings in Italy. Travel is arranged simply and transparently as part of your offer.

Do you cover weekend or multi-day weddings?

Yes. Multi-day weddings are beautiful because everything has more space — a welcome event, the wedding day, and a relaxed ending. If you’re planning a full weekend, I’ll happily create a tailored offer based on your timeline.

Do you also offer video?

Yes — I work with a small circle of talented videographers whose style fits my approach. If you’d like both photo and video, I’m happy to help you find the right team and make sure everything feels cohesive.
